File Tools includes the following scripts: 

Check Multiple File Column Headers

Creates a report of column names across multiple delimited (CSV/DAT) based files.

Field to Text Files

Export a data field to new or existing text files.

Source Options

    • Skip Documents With Text ("If enabled, will skip the document if it has text file links.")
    • Data Field ("The value of this field will output into the exported text file.")
    • Output Encoding ("Encoding to use for the exported text files.")

Text Settings

    • Replace New Line Char ("Optionally replace a string from the field with a new line in the text file.")

File Settings

    • Delete Existing Text ("Deletes any existing text files for the document.")

Strips text data from a document's loaded text file.

Text Files to Field

Imports text file contents to a document field.

Field Settings

    • Output Field Name ("The name of the field that will contain the text file contents.")

Text Settings

    • Auto Detect Encoding ("Enable to turn on encoding detection (slower); disable to use the fallback encoding instead.")
    • Fallback Encoding ("Encoding used if AutoDetectEncoding is disabled or if encoding detection fails.")
    • Replace New Lines With ("Optionally replaces any new lines (line breaks) in the text file with this value. Set to blank/empty to ignore.")
